The portraits in this linocut seem to have no real connection or show some sort of estrangement, fall-out between themselves. The surrounding motifs and lines seem to remind us of hills which, coincidentally or not, also surround the center of Kaunas city in which this story takes place. It has a sort of hypnotic, psychedelic feeling experienced due to the linear target depicted behind the main characters. Once again, the artist creates a mystery as well as the freedom to think of whatever narrative our fantasies create while we are looking at the work.
